On October 30, on the occasion of the fifth “Shenzhen Talent Day”, the "SCC Cup" National Model Aero-plane Open was officially started at Shenzhen Talent Park, for the purpose of promoting the training of next-generation aviation talents. The attendees to the opening ceremony included Wang Lei, deputy director of the Youth Department of the General Administration of Sport of China, You Lei, president of Guangdong Aeronautical Society, Zhao Li, deputy director of Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Education, Zhang Zhiping, permanent vice chairman of Shenzhen Association of Science and Technology, Han Xingyuan, counselor of Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, Ye Chun, deputy chief of Nanshan District, Yang Li, deputy division chief of the United Front Work Department of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, Zhou Jinqun, general manager of SCC, and more than 200 young people. The interactive experience activities attracted thousands of Shenzhen citizens to the competition site.

At the opening ceremony, Ruan Yao'an from Hong Kong and Lin Yechou from Shenzhen, two national champions, gathered to give a wonderful helicopter fancy performance, which attracted full applause. "Launch the rockets!" Under the order of president You Lei, 100 rockets roared into the sky. Immediately afterwards, the creative model aeroplane performance, including phoenix sports kites, seaplanes, and ball-shaped unmanned aerial vehicles, brought a pleasing visual feast to the citizens and friends. In the interactive experience activities, the story of the development of aviation technology was shown to the citizens through the historical corridor, and the VR helicopter experience and wing-suit flight were even more sought after by young people.

The 17th "SCC Cup" National Model Aero-plane Open lasted for two days, and the wonderful moments of the event were shared through live streaming. High competitive levels were presented at the two-day event, attracting the attention of more than 100,000 model aero-plane enthusiasts.
