The three-day SCC (6th) Parent-Child Summer Camp experience journey came to a successful end on August 11, 2017, in the happy atmosphere of parent-child games.
At 8: 40 a.m. on the morning of August 09, seventy-four SCC children left their parents and started two days of "flying alone". At the aviation science camp on the first day, the children played manual assembly under the guidance of teacher, experienced simulated flight, operated unmanned aerial and intelligent vehicles, which fully trained their practical ability and broadened their vision. In order to improve the children's safety awareness and skills, traffic police and doctors were invited to the security education camp on the second day to impart the knowledge of traffic, fire fighting and medical emergencies. By means of lectures, simulated scenes and contests, the children soon grasped the knowledge and skills such as traffic safety, fire fighting and emergency evacuation, fracture treatment, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, artificial respiration, etc.
For the parents to have more time with their children, SCC allowed every parent whose kid takes part in the summer camp one-day off and brought them to the Da Peng Cultural Village to experience the natural wildness and the happiness of parent-child time. In the breath of fresh air, the children learned to know about the plant species in the field, observed the plants' growth and explored the mystery of nature; the parents worked together preparing for the lunch. Back from the experience, the children would also help with picking vegetables and washing dishes, and their parents showed off cooking skills and, working together to serve delicious courses. After the lunch, it was the time for the parents to put away their phones and play games with their children under the cool banyan tree in the afternoon. "Daddy, you made it wrong!" "Mummy, the other side! Parents' mistakes always caused their children to burst into laughter.
SCC has always attached great importance to the happiness of its employees and their families, and for this reason, it has launched a series of employee care initiatives, such as sending gifts to newly born babies, inviting outstanding employees' parentsto Shenzhen for free, organizing parent-child summer camps and promoting the employee care foundations. Among them, six parent-child summer camps have been successively held during the summer vacations every year, each of which lasts 2-3 days, with the children and the families invited to participate for free. While enriching their children's summer life and reducing their burden, the activities also helped their families have more understanding of the employees' work at SCC. This year's summer camp focused on the experience of practical ability and safety, which was well received by the parents and their children. Before the camp was finished, many parents said their children had a great time there and hoped to enroll in the following year.
